PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The job of Warehouseman Inventory / Supply is done for the purpose/s of controlling inventory levels and property in support of the school District's strategic plan to ensure efficient and effective use of resources through proper procedures in the warehousing process.  

          

REQUIREMENTS:

5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:      

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: Microsoft Office including Excel.

SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks using existing skills. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: written and verbal skills, customer service skills, and familiarity

with common terminology relating to warehouse processes.

ABILITY is required to schedule activities; gather and/or collate data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility

is required to work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using standardized

methods. Ability is also required to work with others; work with similar types of data; and utilize specific, job-related

equipment. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities, maintaining confidentiality, being organized and communicating with diverse groups.

                                             

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1.

Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met.

2.

Ensures that all required documentation is maintained for the purpose of ensuring a clear audit trail of all warehouse transactions.

3.

Identifies, documents, and notifies Warehouse Supervisor of stock losses and adjustments for the purpose of documenting activities.

4.

Maintains the physical plant (e.g. warehouse and fuel pumps, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

5.

Monitors required inventory levels for the purpose of notifying supervisor(s), recommending purchase quantities and maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.

6.

Moves and reorganizes stock on shelves as directed by Warehouse Supervisor for the purpose of maintaining an organized warehouse.

7.

Operates vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment when required for the purpose of fulfilling orders.

8.

Performs all management functions of the warehouse, in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor for the purpose of maintaining leadership.

9.

Performs the receiving function of goods into the warehouse for the purpose of ensuring that specifications, quantity and quality of order are correct.

10.

Performs the physical counts and verifications of all warehouse stock as lead by the Warehouse Supervisor (e.g. property, including textbook management, etc.) for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.

11.

Processes warehouse orders and deliveries to user locations for the purpose of filling orders for end user.

12.

Uses the computerized inventory system, re-order points, historical order information, and management reports for the purpose of preventing stock outages and dead stock items.

13.

Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the district.
