REPORTS TO:

Executive Director - Program for Exceptional Students

 

Primary Function: This position provides support to the Program for Exceptional Students by ensuring compliance of activities under the area of responsibility with state reporting, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information, and/or direction as may be requested by assigned administrator in assisting parents, staff, districts, and community in communicating effectively.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

1. Educational Level:

High School Diploma/GED

2. Experience:

Minimum one year of secretarial/clerical experience or equivalent technical/business certificate; Additional testing for selected candidates may be required.

3. Physical Activities:

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities

4. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Written and oral communication; typing; communication; computer

    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1.

Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

2.

Assists in maintaining filing system to include retaining all necessary records.

3.

Operates computer and other office machines.

4.

Assists in preparing reports and correspondence as requested.

5.

Receives and routes incoming phone calls.

6.

Opens and routes mail as requested.

7.

Prepares documents as needed.

8.

Utilizes student information system to access information as needed.

9.

Maintains accurate records as needed.

10.

Runs various types of reports using the student information system.

11.

Assists with additional administrative duties as needed.

12.

Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
