PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of Graphic Designer was established for the purpose/s of designing effective and aesthetically pleasing written and graphic materials; reviewing materials for content and clarity; and ensuring and/or implementing accurate billing.
REQUIREMENTS:

1. Educational Level:

High School Diploma or GED
|
2. Experience:
|
Job related experience is required.
|
3. Physical Activities:
|
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities; lift up to 60-70 lbs. unassisted for the purpose of lifting equipment and supplies necessary to complete assigned tasks.
|
4. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
|
Written and oral communication; Customer Service Skills; Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat); Basic Math

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.

Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
|
2.
|
Assists district employees, parents, board members, and other stakeholders with the design and production requirements for duplicating jobs (e.g. recommend paper, review layout, evaluate costs, etc.) for the purpose of meeting requester’s needs in the most cost effective and viable manner.
|

Conducts staff development workshops for the purpose of instructing students in graphic arts and multimedia production.
|
4.
|
Coordinates with teachers, site administration, supervisor and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
|
5.
|
Designs a variety of materials and graphics (e.g. annual publications, logos, letterhead, posters, promotional displays, etc.) for the purpose of providing the most effective use of instructional material/s in the classroom and/or promoting a project, event and/or program.
|
6.
|
Estimates costs for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions and/or taking appropriate action.
|
7.
|
Inspects graphic materials for the purpose of verifying the quality of work produced.
|
8.
|
Maintains equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment in a safe and operating condition.
|
9.
|
Maintains documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
|
10.
|
Participates in meetings, workshops and/or trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
|
11.
|
Researches a variety of topics related to materials, equipment and/or work aids for the purpose of making recommendations for solutions that address specific requirements and/or enhancing overall efficiency of operations.
|
12.
|
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
